Yes, gas and tax are extra. The equipment is always full of gas at the beginning of the rental and needs to be filled at the end of the rental. At our on-site beachfront locations, we fill and calculate the gas from our lakeside fuel tanks at the end of your rental time (and during your rental time if you run low).
At our Eden location, the UTVs/ATVs need to be brought back full of gas and clean by stopping at a gas station and car wash. Tax rates for the rentals are between 7.25% to 8% depending on the location.
Yes, we do offer a damage limiter that covers physical damage to a piece of equipment. The damage limiter is available on all of our equipment except for UTV side-by-sides. Damage limiters vary in cost from $20 to $75 with deductibles from $1500-$5000. This means if you damage a piece of equipment, you will pay the initial cost of the damage limiter plus the deductible which varies from $1500-$5000 based on the piece of equipment you are renting.
The machines use the following approximate amount of gallons per hour depending on how the machine is used or ridden:
Personal Watercrafts: 2 to 4 gallons per hour
Boats: 3 to 6 gallons per hour
UTVs: 1 to 2 gallons per hour
All of our equipment is on-site and does not need to be towed. At our lake locations, all of our boats and other water sports are in the water and ready to go. All of our UTVs are street legal and can be driven from our Eden location. YOU DO NOT NEED A TRAILER, AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO TOW OUR EQUIPMENT. We do have trailers if you would like to haul our UTVs to another destination.
You should show up 30 minutes early for your reservation to allow plenty of time for paperwork and checkout. If you show up late, your time still starts at the time you reserved, and you still must bring the equipment back at the end of your scheduled time. There are no extensions on your reserved rental time.
You can reschedule for severe or dangerous weather conditions only. Overcast skies or light rain does not apply.
All rainchecks are to be scheduled Monday-Thursday only and on no holidays. You must use all rainchecks during the rental season you rented them in. (Summer 2022)
Yes. Before your rental, we look over the condition of the machines and show you how to operate them. On return of the machines, we review them for any damages. At this time, you will also return any extra items you had with the equipment. It is the renter’s responsibility to know the state laws of the equipment you are operating. If you have any questions, please ask.
No, we do not allow any items to be towed behind our PWC. You can tow behind all of our boats except our 16′ pontoon boats.
No, pets are not allowed in or on our rental equipment, which includes comfort animals, therapy pets, or emotional support animals. If you have an ADA-certified service dog because of a disability, we may ask you 1) if the animal is required because of a disability and 2) what specific work or task the dog has been trained to perform directly related to the handler’s disability. Only ADA animals certified as “service animals” will be accommodated.
You must check with us first by calling or stopping by the office. If the time is still available, you can arrange to keep the equipment longer, but you absolutely must check with us first. If you don’t check with us and you’re not back at the scheduled time, we will assume you’re lost or something is wrong. We will conduct a search and rescue operation for you which will be charged a fee in addition to the late fee.
We rent snowmobiles from our Monte Cristo location. Monte Cristo is often rated the best snowmobile trailhead in the state – with groomed trails leading to the wild elk refuge and views at almost 10,000 ft. Off-road riding is available for everyone, from beginners to advanced riders. We rent snowshoes and cross country skis at our Eden location.
You must be 16 or older (and have a valid driver’s license) to drive a snowmobile.

Yes. The machines go out full of gas and oil. When you bring them back, we charge you for what you used. Gas and oil are combined into one price per gallon.
GAS/OIL IS INCLUDED WITH OUR GUIDED TOURS.
Prices vary from $3-$6 per gallon based on current gas/oil prices. Tax is extra at 7.25% of your rental. WE DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO USE YOUR OWN GAS AND OIL. We use a certain gas and oil so we do not void our warranty on the machines and so they run better for our customers.
You do not have to have a guide, though we do offer guided snowmobile tours and guides for rentals. We do recommend a guide for inexperienced renters.
Yes, we have all the gear you would need to rent. Clothing starts at $5 and goes up to $30 for a full clothing package rental. We do not rent balaclavas, neck gators, or socks. We do have them available for purchase if you need them.
